A lady needs her...

purse:

(psst... that´s my real name, on the purse. But don´t tell, okay?)
In between reading Percy Jackson and trying to figure my way through my weird prose and sneezing because of pollen and cooking chinese for dinner, I thought I´d do a little preparation for our class trip next week. I mean, I need to show those kids a sample of what we´re doing, right?

So, this lovely purse consists of two paper plates, cut as you can see on the pic above, then painted with acrylic colors, glued together with a hot glue gun and decorated with stuff we had around - some ribbon and felt letters from the Dollarstore. Or, you know, Ein Euro Laden. That´s german for Dollarstore ;)
It´s a good idea to let the paint dry before using it, or else your hands will get stained like mine in the pic above. Though, I think the look of paint stained hands is quite cool. So, maybe leave the drying part ;)

When I find the time, I´m trying to post our drink container wallets, as well - but stupid as I am, I´m spending my whole Sunday on some sort of political meeting, and tomorrow -  well, in said Dollarstore, we also found two dip nets, and Mehmet and Miro really want to go "fishing" tomorrow.

Up for a guessing game? What´s this?
(yep, a photo using flash = a sin, but that´s not what I mean - besides: It´s dark outside now, here in Germany. And I´m trying to make up by wearing my favourite dress in the pic above ;))

It´s a pool noodle, cut in half, used as a marble slide, with a mixing bowl to catch the marbles. I got the idea off the internet (I´m definitely not clever enough to come up with something this cool all by myself!), but I forgot whose idea it originally was. But my sons love marble slides quite a lot at the moment (oh, gravity!), and if your kids do too, now you got another nice idea to add to your collection.

Music:

This guy just sparkles with musical talent and creativity. The video above seems to lead into a new direction, I´ve heard him first in his collab with Nataly Dawn, as Pomplamoose. If you look at their older videos, like this one, feel prepared to be blown away with brilliant experimental harmonies and an impressive variety of instruments.
