Fingerpaint.

 

Painting the windows...

...is a good idea

...to fill some time while it´s raining outside...

and learn, in a very haptical way, about mixing colors. 

There are a ton of recipes for homemade fingerpaint on the web, and I suppose you could also get fingerpaint of a better quality than this one, but this was brought to us from Tim after his trip to the Ukraine, so it´s special :) And it really had a nice, soft feel on it.
