The beauty that surrounds me

Okay, I guess I start to become pretty boring with my posts - all pictures of us fiddling through the green. But hey, our spring break is over now, and our little excursion yesterday was probably the last glimpse of spring we got - for the next 12 weeks. Now its all chalk and books and instruments and computers again - not that bad, either, when I think about it.
And I just can´t keep my camera inside when we ride out on our bikes, and discover little villages, just a couple of miles away from our house, that look as if they have fallen out of the century...

...with the trimmed birch trees in the front yard some young men over here traditionally tput up o show their love to a girl that´s special to them on mayday...

We rode on, through a forest...
...and yet again, I wish it was possible to post sounding and smelling pictures, so you could hear the river...
...or the musical rocker-harp we found in a park on our way...
And, of course, we had to find an arm of the river where we could put our naked feet into the creek and play fishing...
 You know, just the usual.
We found a swing in the forest, and everyone got five minutes on it. That made 30 minutes on the swing, for the six of us. But hey, a swing in the middle of a forest? That´s something cool, now!
And we even found an owl! Not a real one, though...
But we did see real sheep, real cows, horses, grey herons, geese, frosh, tons of caterpillars for Miro, and yesterday night, in our backyard, a hedgehog.

And now, that my whole body feels as if it´s filled with sun and air, we can go back to school. I love those weeks without school. And I´m yearning for the next break, yes, I am.
Here´s some music:

What a beautiful setting, Helen!

I envy you that old world beauty that just doesn't have an equivalent in America. Thanks for sharing!
