My husband is back from Berlin, and because it was his birthday, his parents gave him - or us - about a gazillion of trees. Literally, a truckload. Rhododendron, roses, gooseberries, a plum tree, red currants, raspberries, lilac, hazel, holly. Hazel and Holly, by the way, would make terriffic names for girl twins. Just saying. Not that I´m planning to have twins again. Ever. Anyways...
The kids helped carrying them all up the stairs to our backyard, and especially little Miss Eco, Ronja, was thrilled. And the truckdriving guy from the garden store kept wondering... where do all those kids come from? Do you grow them here?
Well... sort of...
At least we had, at peak times, 11 kids running through our garden today... so they sure must be growing somewhere :)
The girls went out to sell some of their toys, then spent the money on sweets and eyeshadow, and organized a treasure hunt for the younger kids in the neighbourhood. The boys...
...fought with their water shooters over the fence. No matter the enemy is 12 years old. They are two! Well, I tried to tell them about pacifism and why a war will never end when they always have to revenge their brother´s wet pants, even if two third of the "superheroes" (yep, that´s what they called themselves...) are crying... but it just wouldn´t make sense.
And don´t tell me it´s not genetic. Because it is. They can be tender, lovely little guys, they like cuddling the babies in our fertile neighbourhood, and they love to play with their dolls. They also like dressing up with their sister´s old princess costumes. But they have an urge to fight and box and run around shouting and pretend to be superheroes that sometimes seems very... alien to me. Ahh, the fascination that´s in the male species.
Dance with me:
Ja, ja, ja, I know I´m always over the top with praising the music I just happen to like at the moment. But this one is good stuff, I mean, quality stuff. Music I think I´m going to love in a couple of years from now, too. Awesome fiddle, funny big men dancing around, awesome banjo and a blindfolded banjo player to make it look a little weird, oh, and a mando of course!

Looks like green is in full swing there. Perfect pics to wrap up spring break.
