Look!
Okay, I´m not quite finished. I still need to sew the applications on the second one, and believe me, that´s a p.i.t.a. And I should have done it before sewing the parts together, but what the heck, so far I´m proud with the result. See, Mama Weasley is my idol, and though my knitting skills are rather shamefull, I can sew, so my kids are getting their christmas sweaters each year. Like this one...
or these two:
I always use the same, basic pattern, (it´s in german, sorry, but there are some pictures). It´s pretty easy, and it´s so versatile. You can use it for a very simple version,
or you just leave off the sleeves and add a little length, and you come up with a cute winter dress:
I always use fleece, because I really like working with it. No fringing, and it feels nice and cozy. And it´s very, very cheap. And warm. And durable. Those animal sweaters above, they are two years old now and still in heavy duty. Oh, fleece. So I sat down last night to cut the parts...
...and this morning, I assembled them and workled on the applications.
which, I must admit, consist of a bought iron-on, and scraps I had lying around from former projects. But still. Mother Weasley had her kids in boarding school all year long, after all :)
Music, music... what music am I going to post today? Ha! I know!
Back then, when I was still in school, our Englishteacher introduced us to this song. Our Englishteacher was a tough cookie, but I always liked him despite his conservative opinions he stated in class, or his methods that were often backwards. And I adored this song from the very beginning when we learned it in class. I like chanting it whenever I find the acoustic is great. My kitchen has a great acoustic. So, when I found this version from the mormon choir, I was quite thrilled. I wish I was a member of them.

OMG, I am so envious that you know how to sew! I wish I were that crafty and could make some for L.
Frohe Weihnachten!
