Today...

...I wrapped....

30 little treatbags for Ronjas´s classmates,
(don´t they make a nice centerpiece?
so she can celebrate her birthday after winter break in class tomorrow, while my twins were dancing to Ingrid Michaelson in the living room...

and then I helped Eva sewing a tunic for her project about the clothing of slaves in the ancient Rome...
Did slaves in Rome wear striped sweaters and blue socks? Or... nevermind the belt. I think we have to work a little on authenticity, though :)

And then the magical UPS man rang the doorbell, so I finally could put our new bike trailer together:
Though I had some interruptions, because I had to do a hot glue gun surgery on Miro´s little black elephant...
And then I made Eva´s favourite banana-chicken curry...
... while I let my girls pen some thank you notes to their godfathers and grandparents...
See that Mobywrap on the table? Ronja´s godfather is becoming a father soon, so naturally, we´ve got to introduce him and his wife to the greatest transort device any parent can have :)

And I called my gran to her 84th birthday and played her a birthday song, while my kids sang in the background. Hugged Ronja. Kept my sink shiny. Did two loads of laundry and a lot of swishing and swiping, as to follow my flyladies routine. Practised the piano, Love Song by Sara Bareilles, and got my kids to practise their instruments, too. Learned that the tickets to that Sara Bareilles concert are 80 Euros, so that´s out of question. And it took quite some time to get this little guy to sleep tonight...
...´cause he couldn´t stop building things. See? That´s a camera. And he´s taking a picture of me. Mommie´s boy :)
And before I began typing this, I just finished the cake...
...for Eva to take to school tomorrow. Because it was her birthday during winter break, too.
I was so productive, that I feel like I can´t move a bone. Well, maybe to get out and read a nice chapter of Henning Mankell while sipping some tea and smoking my goodnight cigarette.

Life is best when it´s full of work and positive action :)

And my song for today is this one:
Ah, Ingrid. Has she ever written a song whose lyrics I couldn´t fully, completely understand in my whole heart? Don´t think so.
