The Castle

Last week, I ordered a huge map of the world on amazon, to hang it onto our kitchen wall and pin photos to it, as to showcase where we went, and where all our visitors came from.
I ordered it on Amazon, and they were so kind to deliver it in a box as huge that one of my twins fit´s in with ease.
So, well, we had to do something with this beautiful box, right? That´s why it became The Castle:
Originally, I had intended to paint bricks on it, and ivory, and maybe a little family crest as a color blotch. A classic fairy tale tower.
Didn´t think about my kids when I imagined this :)
We each painted one side (Eva wasn´t home that day, so it was one for me, as well!), and the side above is Ronja´s side - I love how she made clouds by spreading white paint with her bare hands.
Oh, and Mehmet painted this dragon. All by himself. I think it´s the coolest thing he´s ever drawn so far, and now he´s constantly proclaiming he´ll be a big artist someday.
We cut in a door, for the twins to fit through. Which they do:
So running to The Castle is now the first thing they do in the morning, and the first they do when they get home from Kindergarden. Which has, by the way, started last week. So, summer is supposed to be officially over now.
Just this year, I refuse. Summer will be all year long over here, I decided. So be it.
Music for the day:

Just found her, because she did some collabs with Chris Thile, my hero. After knowing every piece Thile did by heart, it´s quite nice to find similar music I yet have to discover thoroughly. Like a new door that opens unexpectedly, in music-land.
